Series Title: Dyslexia Is a Superpower

Episodes: 12 total

Hosted by: Phoebe Charlson

Hi everyone! I wanted to share what you can expect from my first podcast series, Dyslexia Is a Superpower, part of my new platform, Phoebe Talks. This series is close to my heart—it’s about redefining what it means to be neurodivergent, highlighting the creativity, talent, and resilience that often come with it.

Here’s a quick breakdown of the first few episodes and what I have planned:

🎧 Episode 1: Who I Am & Why I Speak

In this kickoff episode, I introduce myself and share my own journey with dyslexia—what it was like growing up, how I learned to see my differences as strengths, and why I decided to create this podcast.

🎧 Episode 2: Building Community Through LD Advocacy

Guest: Avery Cyncar, a junior at The Ellis School

Avery and I sit down for a creative crafting session while talking about our work co-leading the Learning Differences Student Union at school. Avery shares her own neurodivergent journey and why peer advocacy matters.

🎧 Episode 3: The Moments That Made Us

This episode features a surprise guest, and we’ll dive deep into the personal stories that shaped us. It’s about the challenges that taught us strength, and the little victories that helped us grow.

🎧 Episode 4: Neurodivergence & Creative Brilliance

I invite a talented friend who has found creative ways to express herself, even while navigating neurodivergence. We’ll talk about talent, identity, and why different ways of thinking are actually gifts.

This is just the beginning—there will be 12 episodes in total in this series, each one offering honest conversations, inspiration, and practical insights. My goal is to build a space where people feel seen, heard, and empowered to embrace their differences.

Phoebe, what a wonderful thing you are doing for those people who have learning disabilities. You’ve done an absolute beautiful job explaining your problem and how you have dealt with it over the years. I am so looking forward to reading the rest of what you have to say. This is such a gift to all of us. Love and miss you a bunch.
